ABOUT ME

Betsy Lederer writes and draws with pencils, pens, and needle and thread. She is a storyteller.

Betsy started her career thinking she would be an English teacher, but by happenstance, necessity and hard work, slogged her way up the civilian workforce to become a senior Logistician and professor at a military university. She wrote a lot there, including research papers, and owned a portfolio of over 100 dweebie technical articles. She has always had a parallel creative side; however, and her artistic outlets include writing, drawing and textile crafts.

She is the mother of three grown children and two beloved grandchildren. As the middle child of a large, boisterous family from the Maryland ‘burbs, she cherished her freedom to explore – both in the natural world and the world of her imagination. She has always loved being around children and helping them mature through personal experiences and through the world of creativity.
